Coming Home from the hospital

We brought Logan home yesterday. He loved riding in the car and sporting his new cloths. My parents decided to have a GIANT blow up stork in my front yard when I got home. They also stocked our fridge and cleaned our house so we greatly appreciate that!

Gies...

Logan is carrying on our name. Out of my dad's five brothers kids and grandkids there are very few males left with the last name Gies. Well hopefully Logan can keep the name going!

My BIG BOY!!!

He is finally here. His name is Logan Benjamin Gies and he was 9lbs 11oz and 24 inches long. He is a big boy and he had been great so far. Here are a few pictures....








LOGAN
From a surname which was originally derived from a Scottish place name meaning "little hollow" in Scottish Gaelic.

BENJAMIN

Pronounced: BEN-ja-min (English), ben-zha-MEN (French) [key]

From the Hebrew name בִנְיָמִין (Binyamin) which means "son of the south" or "son of the right hand". Benjamin in the Old Testament was the twelfth and youngest son of Jacob and the founder of one of the southern tribes of the Hebrews. This name was also borne by Benjamin Franklin, an American statesman, inventor, scientist and philosopher.

We spent a lot of time down on Woodward this weekend. The weather was not good but I think it was the most people I have ever seen down there. Here are a few more cars...

Goodbye to the best car ever!

This week I had to get rid of the Van. It was starting to have break problems and a few other things go wrong. The Van was a great vehicle. It has the original engine, transmission and rear differential. It's air is still working and has never been charged since day 1. All three of us kids learned how to drive in it and it has been all over the country. Here are a few pictures of its last day here.
