Bethany's Senior Trip
This past nine days I was on Bethany's Senior Trip. We went to Atlanta, Georgia for a few days and while we were there we did a ton of activities including the Coca-Cola museum, Georgia Aquarium, Six Flags, CNN Tour, and Medieval Times. It was exhausting but very fun spending time with the kids. After Atlanta we went to the Wilds in North Carolina. It is a Christian Camp that Jason and I went to on our senior trip. They do a great job and the week at camp was awesome. Here are a few pictures that were on my camera. I will try to add more as I get more pictures.
Here I am doing something brave. It is the I also did the giant swing and that was terrible. I was so scared but I did it anyway. It helped that the entire class was egging me on and insisted that I did it. Oh well, I lived.
This is the two man team from the Wilds that defeated our six person team of seniors. Eventually, the seniors did defeat them in the next game but that was still pretty impressive. Yes, that is Matt Tracy.
Robert enjoyed his time in the volleyball game. We had perfect weather all week long which made everything so much better.
This was our volleyball team. They enjoyed the game even though they lost a to a team from another school.

Do you know where you stand with your plants?
Lately while walking around the house I have become very afraid of my plants. To help me Jason put some googly eyes on them. I feel more comfortable now and I think the tomatoes that come of this plant will be very friendly.
I got the idea from my cactus plants. They probably wouldn't attack but what if they did? What if they did? My last thought would be, "I always knew."
He may not look dangerous but that is because you have made eye contact. Eye contact is very important.
This one, I made an effort with but I just don't feel comfortable around him. I don't like this guy at all.
Winston Churchill once said, "The eyes are the windows of your face." See you next time.
If you have no idea what we are talking about watch the following video. It is awesome.

Relaxing and Having Fun
After all the hard work we were able to go out and have some fun. We went to the Lincoln Park Zoo and had a really great dinner in Greektown.
Papa took Logan on the carousel at the zoo and although we weren't sure what Logan's reaction would be, he loved it! Every time he came around he would give us the biggest smile. I can see some more rides in his future!
On Sunday Logan was really sad about "Bobbie" going home. He was hanging on her leg and he wasn't letting go. We explained that he would see her in just a few weeks when we come in for senior trip and graduation.
Working on the House
So much has gone on around the house. A few weekends ago Jason's parents were in town and Jason's dad, Joe, painted our front room. He is very brave and didn't mind being up on the ladder for a long period of time. While he was painting Nancy and I took Logan shopping. He really wanted to help Popeye paint but we didn't think that would be a good idea.
The walls looked really bad before so the after is incredible!
Jason had a load of dirt dropped off at the house and he dug up the grass and put in flower beds all around the house. They are mostly empty now, but we are working on filling them with flowers, bushes, veggies, and herbs.
Notice the fence behind us is stained red. Jason cleaned and stained the neighbor's fence on our side. It looks good and seeing as we have only see them three times in the almost year we have been here they really don't care.

This is where my vegetable and herb garden is. It is changing all the time. I will try to post pictures occasionally to show the changes.
