Mom and Dad's Garden

I had the opportunity to visit with my mom and dad for a few days. I thought I would post a couple pictures of their garden so everyone can see what they have been up to. These are only pictures from the front. The back is also very impressive. My dad is retired now and he and my mom are spending lots of time working on the garden and enjoying their freedom.

Greetings from Grand Haven

Right after the fourth we went to Grand Haven, MI for a vacation with Jason's parents, Emily, and Dave. I came with Logan and Jason came in by himself in our new car. (He will tell you more about that later.) Anyway, Jason stayed until Monday night and now Logan and I are here hanging out together. Here are a few of the pictures. There will be more added to the post later.

Usually, reading at the table is not allowed, but Logan had his motorcycle magazine while he was waiting for dinner and kept reading after it came. He would take a bite and make his brrrrm, brrrmmm noise for the motorcycles.

I wasn't sure how he would react to the sand at the beach but he totally loves it. He loves digging and walking and chasing the birds. We brought plenty of toys to keep him occupied.

Joe and I took Logan for a walk by the Grand Haven lighthouse. It is very beautiful. It is very windy out there and Logan was waving his arms and yelling with the wind.

Yesterday we went to Saugatuck. There are so many cute stores and fun places to visit. Nancy, Emily, and I went shopping and Logan and "Papa" hung out together all day. They enjoyed relaxing and playing at the park.

Dave and his friend, Sugar, also enjoyed shopping in Saugatuck.

"Bobbie" gave Logan ice cream. He loved it of course!

Logan loved walking on the beach. He would run and say, "Beach, beach, beach." He really enjoyed chasing the birds, but that made him very tired so he begged either me or Joe to hold him while we chased the birds through the sand. Talk about exhausting!

Grand Haven is one of my favorite vacation spots. There is so much to do and it is so beautiful here. The sand is wonderful and the water is warm. I love Lake Michigan.
