Coke, NO Pepsi. Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger!
We recently made a trip into Michigan to spend some time with family and friends. We went up to Caseville to see Jason's family, including his grandparents. Each year at this time Caseville (located at the tip of the thumb) puts on a Cheeseburgers in Paradise festival. We had a great time! For such a small town they really know how to throw a great party, especially the parade on Wenesday. It is so funny seeing that many people on the city streets.
A friend of the family was kind enough to let us borrow their little house on the water. This is the view from the couch in the front room. Caseville is a beautiful place. It is a small town but you wouldn't know it by seeing it during Cheeseburger!
Logan loved playing on the beach. The house we stayed in is right behind Logan.
Logan was also brave enough to go in the water here. The water was very calm so he had a great time. I love this picture of Logan and Dave!
Jason went fishing with his former boss from Michigan and caught lots of salmon. He brought the seaks up to Caseville and we had a wonderful salmon dinner. (I had steak and that was awesome too!)
While there we celebrated Jason's grandfather's 89th birthday. It is hard to believe his is 89 when you see or talk to him.
Grandpa is a huge Red Wings fan. He loves the old players too. For his birthday the family chipped in for a picture of the old Olympia Stadium and a few of the old players.
He loved it!
This is the float that Jason's parents built for the parade. This isn't the fishished product, but at least you can see the size of the Cheeseburger they built. (It is made out of paper mache and yes, it is awesome.) The parade was so much fun and I can easily say I have never seen that many peopel in Caseville!
