Breakfast with Santa Claus

Last Saturday we went to the Santa Breakfast at the Macy's on State Street. It is a fun tradition we do with Bobbie, a.k.a. Jason's mom. Jason and Emily went out for their own breakfast. It was so fun to see all the kids interacting with Santa dressed up in their Christmas clothes. There were lots of activities to do while we were waiting for breakfast.

Last year Logan sat so still while he got his face painted and he loved it. This year we tried several times to get him to do it and he just refused. He was very decisive about this.

Logan was very happy about the candy cane balloon that he got. It broke once so he took it up to the man and asked for him to fix it.

The breakfast was really good this year and Logan was really into it. He wanted to stop playing so we could go back to our table and eat.

After breakfast we went to get in line to see Santa, but Logan didn't really get the line concept. He thought he had a special "in" with Santa so he wouldn't have to wait in line. Bobbie "helped" Logan write his note telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.

When he finally got to Santa he showed him his list. Logan asked for a Buzz Lightyear and some cars. The cars request is no surprise because he goes nuts for anything with wheels.

Logan really liked Santa. After talking to him Logan thought Santa would come to breakfast with us. He was bummed that Santa had to stay in his chair and talk to all the other kids.

After the breakfast we went shopping at the FAO Schwartz at Macy's. Logan had a great time playing with all the stuff there.

One of the most unique things about FAO Schwartz is the solider who stands out front.

When we were done shopping we went outside to see the windows. Emily hung onto Logan and he enjoyed seeing everything. The Salvation Army bell ringer let Logan ring a bell when he put some money in the pot.

The windows were unique this year. Yes, unique is definitely the word to describe them. Over all we had a great time and a great weekend.

I think Jason needs to get one of those lovely green vests for next year's ugly sweater contest!
